Lobe piercing
A lobe piercing sits in the soft lower ear, the most forgiving placement to start a curated ear. It heals in around 6-8 weeks, takes almost any style, and anchors everything stacked above it. Pierced and styled in our Stockholm studio, worn in 14k recycled gold.

What it is
The Lobe placement
The lobe is the soft, fleshy lower ear, with no cartilage, which is why it heals faster and hurts less than any other placement. It is where most curated ears begin: a first hole for an anchor stud, a second and third for hoops and companions stacked up the lobe. Several lobe piercings can often be done in a single sitting.

How it heals
Expect around 6-8 weeks to heal, a little longer when closely stacked. Leave the first piece in, clean twice daily with saline, and avoid sleeping directly on it. Once healed, swap as freely as you like.

Build your ENNUI Ear
The lobe is your foundation. Anchor with a stud, add a hoop above, then a companion alongside, a stack that can grow over time.

FAQ
Lobe piercing, common questions
Does a lobe piercing hurt?
Less than any other ear placement. A quick pinch in soft tissue, over in a second.
How many lobe piercings can I get at once?
Often two or three in one sitting, depending on your anatomy. We will advise in the studio.
When can I change the jewelry?
Once fully healed, around 6-8 weeks. Start in 14k gold so it heals cleanly.
What jewelry suits the lobe?
Almost anything: studs, hoops, huggies and labrets all sit well.
