Every placement asks for something slightly different: a flat-back labret where the ear is thick, a hoop where it can be seen from the front, a smaller scale where two placements sit close. Choose the one you have, or the one you are considering, and see what fits it.

How to choose
Anchor first
Begin at the lobe. It heals fastest, carries the widest range of pieces, and sets the scale for everything above it.
Vary the scale
A hoop next to a hoop competes. Put a labret between them, and both are seen.
Healed or fresh
A fresh placement takes a flat-back labret and nothing else. Once it has settled, the ear is yours to compose.

If the placements are already there, a ready-made set is the quickest way to a line that reads well. Every set is styled in the Stockholm studio, and every piece in it can be bought on its own.
