What it is
The Forward helix placement
The forward helix is the small ridge of cartilage at the front of the ear, where the helix begins. It is the most face-forward placement in a curated ear, seen straight on rather than in profile. Often pierced as a single, sometimes as a triple stacked up the ridge.

How it heals
Around 6-12 months. It is a narrow ridge, so a flat-back labret is the only comfortable first piece. Keep glasses and headphones off it while it heals.
